Gertie, founded in 1993, is an independent production company specialized in animation, transmedia and publishing. Thanks to the long experience of its associates Franco Serra and Fulvia Serra in the Television, Cinema and Publishing fields, Gertie has great ability to project and produce fiction and non-fiction animated films that are characterized by project originality and special care of the design and style. Peculiarity and talent have won Gertie, till from the beginning, both national and international recognitions: among the others, the Annecy 93 Award (First Prize in the Commercial Film Category); 2004 New York Festivals Educational and Instructional Section – Best TV Preschool Series for “MILO”; European Film Academy Award 2009 – Best animated feature film for Mia et le Migou , by Jacques-Rémy Girerd; 2015 ASPI award at Castellinaria (Bellinzona young audience film festival) for “Iqbal: Tale of a Fearless Child”, by Michel Fuzellier and Babak Payami.
